Today we were writing limericks in our class, limericks are small poems with the first, second and fifth line rhyming with each other, and the third and fourth line rhyming with each other. (5 in total)
Here are some examples of limericks to get you started.
Writing a Limerick's absurd,
Line one and line five rhyme in word,
And just as you've reckoned
They rhyme with the second;
The fourth line must rhyme with the third.
And one of my own,
I recall an old geezer named Paul,
He had a great clumsy fall,
I helped him up,
The nasty pup;
Turns out it was the alcohol.
